A creative force behind two groundbreaking businesses, David Zelman first lit up the world through Middle Earth & Power, the largest U.S. manufacturer of psychedelic lighting, consisting of items such as color organs, lighting, and strobes during its era. He went on to found Prologue 2000, Inc., a design studio and manufacturer dedicated to producing handmade, tabletop and functional art—ranging from salt and pepper shakers to vases, mirrors, to pieces that function as tables, shelving, mirrors, —all reflecting his signature blend of utility and elegance.

Zelman's work has been widely published and is included in the permanent collections of the Brooklyn Museum, Cooper Hewitt Smithsonian Design Museum, Kohler Museum, and Yale University Art Gallery. Every piece is designed and handcrafted in the USA, where art and function meet.
